Four Point Contact Ball Bearings
A four point contact ball bearing is a single-row bearing that can accommodate axial loads in both directions as well as radial loads in a very compact design. Its special construction features a split inner ring and two wire raceways for the balls, causing the balls to run on four contact points. This enables the bearing to act as a combination of two single-row angular contact ball bearings in the axial directions. Four point bearings are ideal for applications with limited axial space such as slewing rings, swivel bearings, and industrial robots where both axial and radial forces occur.
Axial capacity both directions
Can accommodate axial loads from both directions with a single bearing, replacing two single-row angular contact bearings.
Space saving design
Very compact single-row design reduces axial space requirements and weight compared to traditional bearing arrangements.
High load capacity
Four-point contact allows excellent load distribution for combined loads in minimal space.
