Double Row Self-Aligning Ball Bearings

A self-aligning ball bearing is a double-row bearing with a common spherical outer raceway that allows the inner ring and balls to tilt, automatically compensating for shaft misalignment or deflection. This capability makes self-aligning ball bearings ideal for applications where perfect alignment between shaft and housing is difficult to achieve or maintain, such as in conveyor rollers, textile machinery, and agricultural equipment. They provide a cost-effective solution by reducing stress concentrations that would otherwise lead to premature bearing failure.

Lowest friction

Self-aligning ball bearings generate less heat and energy loss than other self-aligning bearing types, making them ideal for high-speed and variable load applications.

Misalignment compensation

The spherical outer raceway allows angular misalignment of typically 2-3 degrees, accommodating angular errors, shaft deflection, or housing deformation while reducing stress concentrations.
